QUARRY AND SURFACE MINES REQUIRED TRAINING

Gain your required new Safety and Risk Management Skills and use it to advance your career within the Quarrying and Mining Industries. You need to complete this unit if you are a Site Senior Executive (SSE)
  • on all Surface Mines or Quarries employing more than 6 people, appointed before 1 July, 2018
  • on all Surface Mines or Quarries employing 6 – 20 people, appointed after 1 July, 2018
  • on all Surface Mines or Quarries employing more than 20 people, appointed after 1 July, 2018
Expected Learning Outcomes
  • Plan and prepare to develop the framework for the risk management system
  • Develop the processes to support the risk management system
  • Plan and implement the risk management system
  • Monitor, review and update the risk management processes

Entry Requirements

  • There are no formal pre-requisites for this course however participants require at least three (3) years experience in a mining supervision or management role.
  • Payment prior to course commencement – see terms and conditions in the student handbook.
  • Valid photo ID
  • Undertake a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment before commencing training
  • Wear long trousers, long-sleeve shirt & enclosed footwear
