You need to complete this unit if you are a Site Senior Executive (SSE)

  • on all Surface Mines or Quarries employing more than 6 people, appointed before 1 July, 2018
  • on all Surface Mines or Quarries employing 6 – 20 people, appointed after 1 July, 2018
  • on all Surface Mines or Quarries employing more than 20 people, appointed after 1 July, 2018

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Plan and prepare to develop the framework for the risk management system
  • Develop the processes to support the risk management system
  • Plan and implement the risk management system
  • Monitor, review and update the risk management processes

Entry Requirements

  • Basic numeracy, literacy, English language skills and physical abilities.
  • PPE requirements: Long pants, long sleeve shirt, steel cap boots, industrial gloves, eye protection & hearing protection.

Course Delivery and Assessment

  • This course is delivered over two (2) days.
  • Training and assessment are delivered face to face at any of our facilities or onsite.
  • Assessment will include a theory assessment and practical demonstration.
