This nationally recognised MSMSS00017 Use high pressure water jetting equipment skill set reflects the skill requirements to safely and effectively use high pressure water jetting equipment under supervision. Students will learn to perform tasks in compliance with workplace safety procedures, assess risks, and maintain equipment, ensuring safe and effective water jetting operations in industrial and commercial settings.
The Mining Supervisor course meets the requirements for the position of a Supervisor in the Resources Industry, as per s.56 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and s.51 of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999. This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform basic rigging work associated with the movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists (including mast climbing hoists), placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes.
