  • PMASUP236 Operate vehicles in the field
  • RIIVEH201E Operate light vehicles

Course Overview

This nationally accredited course covers theoretical and practical aspects of how to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle and drive across a variety of terrains. This course covers:
  • Preparing your vehicle for your journey and conducting pre-start checks
  • Operating vehicle in 4WD mode
  • Vehicle recovery
  • Fault identification

Entry Requirements

  • There are no formal pre-requisites for this course
  • Must have the appropriate class of driver’s licence
  • Physically capable of operating a vehicle
  • Payment prior to course commencement – see terms and conditions in the student handbook.
  • Valid photo ID
  • Wear long trousers, long-sleeve shirt & enclosed footwear

  • Please note that all card payments may attract a 2.2% transaction fee of the total amount paid.

  • This course is delivered over one (1) day.
  • Training and assessment is delivered face to face at any of our facilities or onsite.
  • Participants who are deemed competent will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by Australian Institute of Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO #40772) trading as Host Safety and Training.
