The Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention course specifies the outcomes required to recognise the workplace health and safety risks and hazards inherent in working with crystalline silica containing products and to determine and plan for the implementation of safe systems of work aimed at reducing exposure to within mandatory exposure limits.
This course applies to building and constructions workers, jewellery industry workers, do It yourself (DIY) enthusiasts and anyone where the health and well-being is at risk through exposure to crystalline silica dust.
Participants will be able to identify and apply the following knowledge within the context of their job roles for their own safety and the safety of fellow workers and bystanders:
This unit specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level, consisting of scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or prefabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static lines, and bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork) for licensing purposes.
This training will teach the participant the skills and knowledge required to identify, locate and protect underground services in preparation of a site for construction operations; this includes searching for known or potential services or utilities which may exist under the surface of a specified excavation site.
This two (2) day course will teach you how to rescue personnel from confined spaces in accordance with WHS Regulations and Australian Standard 2865-2009. Including a breathing apparatus refresher module, participants will understand how to rescue a person from a hazardous atmosphere within a confined space whilst remaining safe.
This course is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills to operate elevating work platforms that are not classified as requiring a high-risk work (HRW) licence. After successfully completing this national-recognised course you will be trained and competent to operate; EWP (boom lift) under 11 meters and Scissor lift (up to any height)
This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct roller operations in civil construction. Elements of the unit include: Plan and prepare roller operations, operate roller, prepare to relocate the roller
