This unit covers the manual spreading and compacting of materials in the civil construction industry. It includes planning and preparing, conducting compaction machine operational checks, spreading and compacting materials, and cleaning up. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to the application of the unit.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
This nationally accredited course will give you the skills and knowledge to identify confined space hazards, enter a confined space and work safely according to an issued permit and operate various confined space safety equipment.
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain breathing apparatus and equipment in an irrepressible atmosphere, as defined by the Australian Standards AS/NZS 1715:2009 Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment.
This course is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills to operate elevating work platforms that are not classified as requiring a high-risk work (HRW) licence. After successfully completing this national-recognised course you will be trained and competent to operate; EWP (boom lift) under 11 meters and Scissor lift (up to any height)

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to issue work permits. It covers an understanding of the permit system and the limitations of each permit, and making decisions regarding the need for and correct use of each permit. This unit includes the issue of any and all permits. Permits are called ‘clearances’ by some organisations.

The length of training will depend on the course itself. Some course require a few hours where others take between one and five business days to complete.

Some certifications do not have an expiry date, while others will expire in one – five years. However, this is dependent on the course.
