The Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention course specifies the outcomes required to recognise the workplace health and safety risks and hazards inherent in working with crystalline silica containing products and to determine and plan for the implementation of safe systems of work aimed at reducing exposure to within mandatory exposure limits.
This course applies to building and constructions workers, jewellery industry workers, do It yourself (DIY) enthusiasts and anyone where the health and well-being is at risk through exposure to crystalline silica dust.
Participants will be able to identify and apply the following knowledge within the context of their job roles for their own safety and the safety of fellow workers and bystanders:
This nationally accredited course specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work in Caloundra. The white card unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies as well as correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work in Caloundra.

Underground Specialist (BG4) course covers the skills and knowledge required to respond safely to underground mining emergencies. This course is relevant to personnel who would need to assess the magnitude and impact of the emergency; gather and coordinate all of the necessary emergency response equipment, direct their implementation, and initiate the rescue of personnel from the underground area.
This course specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) up to 60 tonnes.
