Course Overview

This comprehensive training program is designed to equip team members with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively to various emergency situations in the resources and construction industries. Students will learn how to assess risks, coordinate emergency responses, and provide critical assistance to those in need. With a focus on practical training and real-life scenarios, this program prepares participants to confidently handle emergencies in a variety of settings. Upon completion, graduates will have the expertise to contribute to the safety and well- being of others during times of crisis.  Our next course is commencing on 28 January 2025.

Entry Requirements

  • Full course includes all pre-requisite units
  • Have a valid USI
  • Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course
  • Participants need to be clean-shaven, meeting the Australian Standards (AS1715), when using Breathing Apparatus equipment
  • Be physically fit and capable of carrying a minimum of 20kg in weight
  • Willing and capable of moving about in dark spaces; and ascending & descending on ropes and high structures
  • Physically capable of ascending ropes under own your own body weight
  • Students are required to complete a health and fitness declaration upon enrolment to declare any medical issue(s) that may prevent them from participating in the full course

OPTION ONE: Intensive – 20 days (Excluding Weekends)

OPTION TWO: Extended / Self paced – Attend modules over a period of 1 – 12 months.

OPTION THREE: Individual units can be completed throughout the course duration.
