Provide CPR Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.   Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Entry Requirements

  • Payment prior to course commencement see terms and conditions in the student handbook.
  • Have a good understanding of the English language
  • Students must wear enclosed footwear; long-sleeved shirt and long pants
  • USI – Unique Student Identifier
  • Students must be physically fit and capable to demonstrate CPR skills on the floor
  • $65 (no GST) per person for public bookings.

  • Please note that all card payments may attract a 2.2% transaction fee of the total amount paid.

Course duration is approximately four (4) hours

Participants who are deemed competent will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by Australian Institute of Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO #40772) trading as Host Safety and Training.

The length of training will depend on the course itself. Some course require a few hours where others take between one and five business days to complete.

The length of our training courses are included in the course description.

Some certifications do not have an expiry date, while others will expire in one – five years. However, this is dependent on the course.
